The American Land Museum [ROOT] in Placerita Canyon state park is design based on objects found locally. The inspiration of exposed roots was applied to the building’s system as if the dirt was washed away from constant contact with the stream. Just as tree roots the structure has similar function to absorb the rain water and redirect its path.
